Scoring:
Multiple Choice Questions: 1 point is taken for each correct answer. Wrong answers do not have a negative effect on scoring.
Math questions to solve for an answer - no multiple choice (Mathematics section): Wrong answers do not have a negative effect on scoring.
The minimum score for each section in the SAT exam is 200 and the maximum score is 800. The equivalents of the points you get from the whole section are calculated and your exam results are converted to 200-800 points range. Along with your exam results, your percentile is also listed.
