IELTS: International English Language Testing System is an exam prepared to measure the English language level of candidates who want to study or work in environments where English is valid.
IELTS is a language test developed jointly by the British Council (BC), the University of Cambridge English For Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and the International Development Program of Australian Universities (IDP).
IELTS Australia, Canada, New Zealand, England, is recognized by universities and employers in many countries such as America and Turkey. The IELTS Exam has two module options, Academic and General.
The General Training module is generally preferred for immigration applications. Academic module is preferred for application to education institutions, and generally the acceptable grade is 6.0 and above. Make sure to ask the requiring institution which module you should take.

Which Institutions Accept the IELTS Exam?
IELTS is accepted for university applications in many countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States of America and the UK. In the United States, more than 1400 universities and institutions accept the IELTS exam. You can use the website www.ielts.org to see the full list. IELTS offers service and quality for those who want to study or work in America. IELTS provides 48 tests a year at 300 test application centers in 120 countries around the world. Those who take the test once can try their luck again on the next test. Outside the United States, English-speaking educational and professional institutions, including the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand and immigration offices, accept IELTS.
